Background
Shannon was born in El Paso and raised in Ciudad Juarez. Shannon has held internship positions in both the U.S. Senate and the NM State Legislature. She has also worked as a Spanish-English interpreter. Her areas of interest are public policy, immigration and humanitarian law, and social justice. Shannon strongly believes in the right to freedom of movement and the right to seek asylum.
